Qualification as "Energy Scout"
The project 'Young Energy Europe' (YEE) provides young professionals in Bulgaria, Greece, the Czech Republic and Hungary with a subsidised qualification in the field of energy and resource efficiency.
The Energy Scouts learn to recognize savings potential in their companies and to find solutions. The ideas are then implemented in practical projects and evaluated by an expert jury.
Young employees under 35 years of age from companies in all sectors can apply. There are no restrictions on specific specialist occupations. The approximately four-day training courses are held in the local language in cooperation with the foreign chambers of commerce in the partner countries. DIHK Service GmbH supports the AHKs in the implementation of the project.
The Energy Scouts have identified savings potential in all companies and designed and implemented tailor-made energy or resource efficiency projects. Important areas for increasing efficiency and climate protection in the company are, for example, compressed air and lighting, sensitization of employees, the use of renewable energies and process optimization.
Young Energy Europe is funded by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety as part of the European Climate Initiative (EUKI).
