Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer | Shanghai | Posted on Mar. 2, 2026

Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to strengthen the stability, security, and compliance of our local IT environment (approx. 100 users).

This role serves as a senior technical backbone of the local IT team, working closely with the IT Manager and reporting directly to the Head of IT & Digitalization. The position focuses on:

  • Driving the implementation of Group IT security policies and standards in the local environment
  • Enhancing infrastructure, endpoint security, and compliance posture
  • Handling complex technical issues and critical operational tasks
  • Providing high-quality IT support to business users

This is a delivery-focused senior engineer role with strong emphasis on technical depth, execution, and security mindset.

 

Responsibilities:

1. Infrastructure & Security Operations

  • Operate and maintain the local Active Directory environment, including DNS/DHCP services, following Tiering Model and Least Privilege principles, and enforcing proper privileged account management.
  • Maintain network and perimeter security devices, including firewalls (Fortinet), VPNs, and switches, covering configuration changes, firmware upgrades, and log reviews.
  • Maintain Windows Server and virtualization platforms (VMware / Hyper-V), including patch management, vulnerability remediation, and backup verification to meet security baselines and stability requirements.
  • Handle endpoint security incidents using Trellix (ePO / Endpoint Security) and Microsoft Defender, including alert analysis, isolation, remediation, and follow-up improvements.

2. Microsoft 365 & Endpoint Compliance Management

  • Administer Microsoft 365 services (Exchange, Teams, OneDrive, etc.), including user lifecycle management, license assignment, and access control.
  • Monitor Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Defender portals to identify and remediate non-compliant or high-risk devices through patching, configuration adjustments, and policy enforcement, ensuring endpoint compliance with company security standards.

3. IT Support & Asset Management

  • Provide end-to-end IT support to business users, from daily incidents to complex system issues, ensuring fast and effective resolution and business continuity.
  • Participate in IT asset lifecycle management, including deployment, inventory tracking, audits, and decommissioning.
  • Execute IT processes for employee onboarding, role changes, and offboarding, including device preparation and account/access provisioning and deprovisioning, to reduce access and account residual risks.

4. Continuous Improvement & Project Support

  • Support the Head of IT & Digitalization in key IT and information security initiatives (e.g., cloud adoption, security hardening, network optimization).
  • Maintain and update IT documentation, including network diagrams, asset lists, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.
  • Continuously identify risks from technical and security perspectives and propose practical improvement measures.

 

Requirements:

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in system administration or enterprise IT operations.
  • Proven experience in a key technical role within a mid-sized enterprise IT environment.
  • Experience with hybrid environments (on-premises AD + Microsoft 365) is a strong plus.

Technical Skills

  • Infrastructure & Networking:
    Solid hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, and network devices (firewalls, switches, VPN), including troubleshooting and daily operations.
  • Microsoft 365 / Intune / Endpoint Management:
    Proficient in using Intune for device management and compliance policy configuration; able to independently troubleshoot enrollment issues, policy deployment failures, and application deployment problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Desktop Support: Respond to IT tickets and resolve user requests, including troubleshooting for Windows OS, Office 365, Teams, and other common office software.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding: Responsible for the setup and debugging of laptops and peripherals for new hires; handle device recovery and system resets for departing employees.
